Is it even possible to have a fast and simple onboarding of a new software? To most, this just sounds like a lot of time and trouble. But Instore Excellence is not like most software.
Sören Hinz is Branch Sales Manager at Walbusch Filialen, a large chain of exclusive clothing stores with 43 stores across Germany. They have recently onboarded the whole organization to Instore Excellence. The following is how he experienced the onboarding process:
What made you choose Instore Excellence?
“We had been looking for a task management system for three years. Instore Excellence is one of the best tools on the market for our specific needs. It’s a good match because we can use one system to handle all we need: KPI and goal management, facility management, and picture management.”
Did you have any concerns before the onboarding process?
“In Walbusch, our IT department handles processes like this. It was essential for them that the application didn’t require our employees to install software on their computer. Thus we needed a whole other level of IT security etc. In that case, it would have been quite harder and would have resulted in a much larger workload in order to reach all requirements from the IT department.

The setup doesn’t require that our employees install any software on their computers. Instead, they only need to install the app on their mobile devices, which is no problem for the IT department.”
How was the onboarding process?
“Very easy, very fast! I just sent an email to Morten. We arranged a meeting to discuss our case, and what Instore Excellence could do for us. After that, it just took one call to the IT department, and everything was up and running shortly after.
Then we arranged a group call with the whole team. They quickly said: ‘Okay, this seems easy. Let’s go!’
We are now in the last month of the trial period. The feedback from my team is that the application is easy to use – and it’s exceptionally agile on mobile devices.
If my team has any challenges or wishes, Morten often takes care of them within a day. Larger things like special requirements can be done within 1-3 weeks. For example, we wished to have a KPI function in the application, which only took two weeks to develop and implement.
I have had no complaints from either the IT department or my team in the onboarding process. Therefore, I only have my best recommendations for Instore Excellence!”
